Bridger Products sells the original designs and products of Vern Brekke.
He is known for the patented "Brekke Bridge" and as the design and production engineer for
Gibson/Flatiron's mandolin division and Sound To Earth "Weber Mandolins".
He also has extensive experience with designs and cut programs for CNC plasma and Oxy/propylene
metal cutting equipment at TowHaul/Smith Equipment. CNC Plasma cutting designs include
fountains, coat racks, a six foot tall steel guitar and mandolin, as well as numerous animal designs.
His innovative Weber designs include the patented "Brekke Bridge", the "Traditional Brekke/Weber"
bridge, the Weber "S" shaped mandola, octave and mandocello bridges, the Weber cast tailpieces,
the Weber guitar and resonator tailpieces, most Weber inlay designs, the Weber "Wood Nymph"
the first "harmonic suppressor", the Weber "Maverick" electric mandolin, the Weber "Sweet Pea"
travel mandolin, the Sweet Pea integral tailpiece, the Weber adjustable resonator bridge, the Weber
“Carousel Soundwell" for resonator guitars, and the Weber integral armrest/tailpiece. He created
the first Weber website and wrote articles that described or defined Weber products and designs.
Bridger Products also does CAD/CAM design and consulting for companies in the musical instrument
and metal working industries. The "Ranger" mandolin sold by Montana Lutherie was co-designed, as
a consultant, with Bruce Weber. Engineering consulting was done for Weber/Two Old Hippies
in Bend, Oregon; Montana Steel Industries, Belgrade, Montana; & Yellowstone Steel Fabricators, Belgrade, Montana.
